Welcome to South Ferriby Church
The Methodist Church at South Ferriby is over one hundred and fifty years old and can seat about one hundred and twenty people. The current membership and record of attendance at the weekly service is around twenty, with ages varying between forty and ninety-four. The active members of the Ladies Working Group meet in the Sunday school, which is a larger complex than the Church and is at the other side of a narrow lane. The School building is made available to other groups in this community of nine hundred people. There is a Primary School and a Residential Home in the village. Rugby Cement Group have a cement works on the outskirts of this otherwise rural village, which is three miles from Barton upon Humber. There is continued housing development in the Village and there is a recognised need to involve the community in advancing the work of the Methodist Church in South Ferriby.
