in Barrow on Collections for the work in this Church and Circuit Local Preachers Collection eventually raised £23.00.Thank you. Sue wishes to thank all of you for your prayers, support and encouragement. Sunday 4th May was overwhelming to say the least. Thanks also for the lovely gifts and cards, and not least for the great Tea that was provided. Judith Lawtey is running the Edinburgh Marathon on 25th May to raise money for the British Heart Foundation and is looking for sponsors. If you would like to give to this cause please add your name to the sponsor form in the foyer. Christian Aid Week 11 – 17 May Envelopes – these are available in the foyer for the areas to be covered by Trinity, please take them and sign the list. If the area is too large for you to cover please indicate on the list alongside. Last year we fell very short of covering all our areas let us make an extra effort this year .PLEASE. Fundraising Dates to Note : Sat 22 November – changed date of Annual Bazaar due to date of Barton Christmas festival. A baby dressing / changing station has now been installed in the unisex toilet room and this resource is available for use by any visitors with infants to our Church Lost Property – We now have a ‘Lost Property’ box situated in No.3 Classroom Pastoral Issues; Your initial contact will continue to be Ruth Blythe, Pastoral Leader, who will follow this up with a call/visit and arrange for a Minister to visit if necessary. Shoeboxes for soldiers in Afghanistan – one of my work colleagues,
who lost a son in the Armed Forces, is collecting items in shoe boxes
to be sent out to soldiers who do not have family supporting them whilst
they are out there. In the foyer you may have noticed a shoe box already
with some suggested items these include: I am hoping to persuade the Sunday School to pack up a box, would you like to either bring any items or a packed box? and then I will deliver to the collection point. I would like to take in after Sunday 18 May. Any items for the next notices should be placed in the box by in the
foyer by Tuesday evening,
