According to the 2001 census it had a population of 548. It is just off the A15 north of Caenby Corner. The story of Waddingham Chapel is one of building, re-building and alteration in order to fit the premises needs to the community. The old chapel stood on the site until its demolition in 1992, following the discovery of serious structural defects. The chapel was built in 1859 following the demolition of an 1835 chapel, which was considered too small. The shell of the present building was erected in 1865 as a separate school room. The cross which hangs in the current chapel was made using timbers from the 1859 chapel.
